Joanna Hernik, Ph.D., Associate Professor

Joanna Hernik is an associate professor in the Department of System Analysis and Marketing at the Faculty of Economics, West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin (Poland). She conducts scientific work and teaching in the fields of business management, economics, and economics of tourism. Professor Hernik has been working as the rector’s representative for international didactic cooperation (since 2016). Also she has been working as a visiting professor at Hochschule Stralsund – University of Applied Sciences, Stralsund (Germany), delivered courses in the field of communication, diversity management, international economics and trade (since September 2012).

In the period between October 1998 and September 2019 she was engaged as an Associate Professor and Head of Marketing Department at the West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin (Poland). At the same time she participated in many scientific meetings and conferences and published over 100 articles. She served as the faculty Erasmus program coordinator between 2007 and 2016.  Professor Hernik was a deputy dean for development and international cooperation at the same university. Between 2016 and 2017 she was a visiting professor at Universidad de Jaen, Jaen (Spain) and delivering classes on Marketing management, and Human resources management. She was a visiting lecturer at the University of Richmond, Robins School of Business, Richmond (USA) between August and December 2010.  Professor Hernik is fluent in English, also speaks Spanish.
